PROJECT
Create
an enticing sculptural surface for outdoor sales counters. The installation
needed to withstand the freeze-thaw cycle common
to New York winters.
SOLUTION
Since the
surface was at eye level for young children, Magnificent Manufacturing
decided to sculpt realistic
silhouettes
of animals.
High relief animals were set into a hand-cut tile field. The
result was a highly
tactile frieze, in natural earth tones, that delighted children
while teaching them to identify native New York State animals.
