PROJECT
Designer wanted to create a dramatic centerpiece – a 100’ x 12’ zero-edge
pool. Near eye level for seated patrons, the pool needed lily pads
and frogs as permanent elements of the sculpture.
SOLUTION
Magnificent
Manufacturing created one hundred ceramic lily pads and sixteen water
lily flowers, each fitted with brass fixtures
and armatures
to bring them perfectly to water level. By allowing the elements
to partially float, support fabrication enabled perfect alignment
without
any on-site
alterations. Each element was individually formed by hand, including
five life-sized tropical frogs!
