Glass Wall Tile
Paté de Verre Technique
Magnolia

SOLUTION
These glass tiles were produced using the paté de verre technique. Colored glass paste (paté de verre) is hand-painted on relief moulds to create color. Clear glass is placed behind the colored paste. The mould and glass is kiln-fired to melt the paste and clear glass into a solid, durable tile. The combination of relief and the hand coloring gives depth and beauty to these tiles. Instead of conventional installation, the tile can be lit from behind to produce a more vibrant effect.
