PROJECT
Designer
required a warm, comfortable space with defined areas but not an overwhelming
graphic presence. The café was
primarily a daytime venue, so sunlight was encouraged by large open
window areas.
SOLUTION
Magnificent
Manufacturing created red clay tiles with five translucent glaze colors.
The glazes allowed some of
the warm red
color of the clay
to come through. A gloss finish was chosen to bounce sunlight through
the space, creating a cozy, inviting environment. With the tile
randomly installed,
the space has a quiet, organic appearance.
